Typically, students begin appearing for Olympiads in Class XI. However, talented students can start taking the stage I exams in lower classes, increasing their attempts and potential for medals, as they can participate until Class XII. The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) program is organized by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. The program aims to identify and nurture mathematical talent among pre-university students in India.
Students are encouraged to start their IMO preparation early to gain a competitive edge. At CS-15, we welcome students to begin their journey towards Olympiad success with the right coaching and guidance.
To train and select students, 25 regions are designated, each assigned a Regional Coordinator. Additionally, three groups (Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)) have their own Regional Coordinators.
The Mathematical Olympiads course consists of five stages, designed to progressively challenge and hone students' skills.
